Studio VC6 channels the students to identify a ‘real world’ problem or opportunity in a given industry, and propose effective outcomes applicable to an existing organisation within the industry. The project brief for Studio VC5 allows students to experiment more freely around a given theme, and develop abstract investigations into concrete implementations. While the project brief may be the same for students across the specialisations of the Visual Communication course, the outcomes may differ according to the students’ interpretations and analyses of the issue. Students are required to execute design, craft, technical and media and business skills appropriate to project outcomes. Studio Projects also allow the students to fully apply and holistically integrate all that they have learnt in the preceding years in their projects.
The Studio Project simulates real-life design environment, where students are expected to work on a series of designs under strict industrial guidelines, schedules and standards. The aim is to immerse students in full-time design projects for maximum design experience creation. Lecturers serve as design mentors/directors and work with the student design teams in a seamless manner, providing close and timely supervision. The semester-wide project-based study is conducted through Studio Projects. They would also have practised presentation skills. Through the complete design process, it aims to connect their knowledge, understanding, and skills that were acquired through their course of studies, to create meaningful connection with their target audience in their proposed design. As they are being groomed into visual communicators, this module places emphasis on connection. This module takes students through the complete design process to craft solutions for a major design project or several design projects. Students will apply the acquired knowledge and skills, such as design process, marketing strategy, campaign planning, visual hierarchy, and copywriting, towards tangible design outcomes that address the subject of sustainability, so as to imbue in them the value of sustainable design in the communication industry. Expand your knowledge in the fields of lighting technology, lighting design and lighting control. In various tutorials and seminars we show you many tips and tricks to plan, calculate and visualize light optimally. to work in the digital age means you must design with interactive software.
This module takes students through the complete design process, with a focus on the theme of sustainability. Get to know all the functions of the software and optimize your workflow. Graphic design is a craft where professionals create visual content to.
